do you think that when fred and george started hogwarts all the teachers were like “ahh more weasleys. lovely. their brothers were such good students i’m sure they’ll be just the same.” and then the twins walked into their first class and just SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKERS
Steve Rogers spent an entire movie around some of the greatest minds in the world, who had been through a myriad of traumatic experiences, and not once did anyone try to connect with him over that. Not one person tried to say “hey I know what it’s like to lose everything you think you know” even though all of the avengers have had that experience in some capacity.
Sam Wilson knew Steve Roger’s all of thirty seconds, before he reached out and made that connection. Sam Wilson knew Steve all of thirty seconds when he shared something personal about his experience in order to tell this man “hey, what you’re going through? You’re not alone.” Because at the end of the day even with all the sass and banter and unabashed ass whooping, Sam Wilson is an empathetic, caring human being.
So if you try to tell me that Sam Wilson is “hiding something”, that Sam Wilson isn’t good enough for Steve, isn’t good or interesting enough to be an avenger, then I hope you step barefoot on a pile of legos.
I like believing that Slytherins did fight in the battle, fought for their home, where they grew up. They probably dropped the cloaks and ties in order to not be a target.
Slytherins levitating rubble off of students
Slytherins sending the spiders flying out windows
Slytherins using hidden passages to evacuate students
Slytherins using hidden passages to sneak up on the enemy
Slytherins with no death eater affiliations, fighting death eaters to save their friends
Slytherins with death eater affiliations going through a mental turmoil as they have to make a decision on which home means more to them, and choosing Hogwarts.
Slytherins, fighting for Hogwarts because hogwarts is home. Where they had their first crush, kiss, ghost encounter. Where they learned how to read the stars and bottle fame. Where they met the people they now call brothers and sisters.
Slytherins man. Teenagers fighting in a war that they never should have to, but doing it anyway because they protect what is theirs.
but they did fight…it was the movie that showed them being taken to the dungeons and not fighting for their home. I the book, a fair number of Slytherin students came back to fight…
